I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck at all. I have no idea what went wrong but overnight it just stopped opening eps files which is killing my business for converting customers images or importing them. Now it does nothing at all other than to look like the page refreshes but shows no image or file.

I would convert them through vector magic or download them in. Problem is out of nowhere this past week any. It’s actually signpal 8.5v2 which is gcc’s version / licensed version of flexi. If you will be at SGIA next week in Las Vegas, I am doing demos on print and cut in the Flexi Booth 2362

Open the HELP file and search for contour.Ĭutting the Contour on a Cutter with Automatic AlignmentĢ.Remove the output media from the printer and load it into the cutter.ģ.Output the cut job in the Hold Queue as you would a normal print job.Ĥ.Align the cutting head over the first automatic registration mark (lower right if not marked) using the controls on the front panel of the cutter. I suggest starting with the Flexi HELP file and reading all the topics on contour cutting. If there is no optical reader, then the marks have to be “found” manually. On Graphtec cutters, there is also a “sensitivity” setting for this optical reader and that may be the case on other cutters as well. If you have set the optical reader close to the marks it should find them, and if not show an error message. Firstly, what cutter are you using? Some cutters use an optical method to find the marks. Sorry, something I talked to SAI about, for now, its a pain.
If you mean an CONTOURCUT then YES assign any color, just make sure that in the RIP&PRINT menu you select the last tab and ASSIGN the color as a contour cut. so I guess that a FEW questions, not just a couple.

How to keep the ‘select within’ tool selected until I am done with it? That was very tedious, because the ‘select within’ tool doesn’t STAY selected, I had to click it each time, then click the area I wanted to delete.ģ. I ended up using the ‘select within’ tool and manually selecting each small piece and deleting it. BUT, I couldn’t get rid of all the small cut areas inside the lettering and the graphic. (There were 3 lines of text with shading and an X shaped graphic in the background.) I found what I wanted to cut by using the ‘outline’ feature and applying a contour cut to it. Is there a way to choose all the cut lines and delete them? I was trying to cut print vinyl on a Roland, I wanted to cut around the outside of the letters and graphics, and the space in between. is it possible to change the color that shows the ‘cut line’? I find it hard to distinguish the black outline and the gray cut line.Ģ. PS:The way it keeps file size down, IMHO, is instead of having 78 of the same parts in a file, you can have 1 file and nest as many as you need and delete the other 77, from the sheet, when you are done with that particular file and it always maintains your settings if you happen to tweek them.FlexiSignPro v8 – soooo many questions… just a couple to get started…ġ. Then the final cut is Desert Blue and I usually drop speed just a bit to make sure it goes all the way through so that may be 100% power and 1.35% speed.
Then make settings for Red to mark the item by lowering power to around 50% and then speed to about 5%.īlue gets the first interior cuts and that may be 100% power and 1.40% speed. I will skip the black so it does not scan the file to look for black and waste time. When I make a material settings such as "3mm ply no engrave" On a Trotec, we have a material settings menu that we can define categories.
This way if your material moves after the final exterior cut, the registration is always correct on the part. By using colors to define the order of operation it will also improve the yield of completed products.Ĥth Cut actual product/exterior vectors (Desert Blue) Trotec will also optimize the vectors if you choose. I can take a 1.875x1.875 disc and make the page 2"x2" and nest it on a 12 x 12 sheet or a 12 x 24 sheet or a 16 by 28 sheet all from the same 2x2 object. By minimizing the space around an object you are able to nest more on a sheet if you choose to. Richard not sure what laser you are using (please put in your signature) but if it is not a Trotec it may not work the same as in Job Control.
